Excursions to the Tyrolean Unterinntal Valley
Tratzberg Castle and the Wolfsklamm Gorge
The Tratzberg castle was once the hunting castle for emperor Maximilian and the Fuggern family. The historical castle, which is beautifully positioned on the side of the mountain towering above the Inntal valley, is now owned by the earls of Enzenberg. Make your way up to the castle by foot, or enjoy a fun ride in the tram to visit the armoury, Queen's room, and the Fugger lounge. The fairy-tale tour is especially popular with our youngest guests and all people who love to embrace the magic of this castle.
Open from April to October from 10am until 4pm. In July and August until 5pm.

Another highlight is Tyrol's oldest place of pilgrimage the Benedictine monastery in Stans with its treasure of relics. The breath-taking walk to the monastery through the "Wolfsklamm" gorge leads you past pristine waterfalls, carved out cliffs and truly is an unforgettable experience. The walk starts at the northern end of Stans and is open from the 1st May until 31st October.
