Excursions à l’est d‘Innsbruck
Enchanting City of Hall
Stroll through the enchanting medieval town of Hall, through the charming alleyways and embrace Austria's largest old-town with a charming, historically preserved character.
Hall in Tyrol gained prosperity through the city's rich salt resources and became an important centre of commerce due to the convenient location at the important river Inn. It also gained importance though the right of coinage and the subsequent coining of the silver Taler.
Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens
The fascinating Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens is located only a brief 20 minute drive away from Lans. This spectacular sight is one of the most visited attractions in all of Austria, a close second only to Schönbrunn castle in Vienna. Immerse yourself in the sparkling wonderland created with Swarovski crystals. The "giant" is your entrance to a crystal maze of subterranean chambers of wonder designed by the Austrian artist André Heller.
Silver Mining Town Schwaz
The silver mining town Schwaz offers visitors the opportunity to gain a unique insight into the life of 11.000 workers in the silver mines 500 years ago. The mine railroad takes you 800 metres into the centre of the mountain where you can explore the maze of tunnels and shafts.
The Zeiss-Planetarium, which is located right next to the silver mine, is a fabulous experience and a great way to immerse yourself in the wonders of our galaxy.
Kramsach Farm House Museum, Rattenberg and Achensee
Visit the place we like to call "Little-Tyrol": the unique museum of Tyrolean Farm Houses. Ancient farm houses all across Tyrol were dismantled, restored and lovingly rebuilt in this museum. Travel back in time and explore the different farm houses, traditional chapels, an old mill, a school, and a saw mill in an absolutely beautiful location. Spend your day experiencing the life lived in the past and embrace the traditional music, backing, and pottery making as demonstrated by the farmers while walking through the farmer's gardens.
Tratzberg Castle and the Wolfsklamm Gorge
The Tratzberg castle was once the hunting castle for emperor Maximilian and the Fuggern family. The historical castle, which is beautifully positioned on the side of the mountain towering above the Inntal valley, is now owned by the earls of Enzenberg. Make your way up to the castle by foot, or enjoy a fun ride in the tram to visit the armoury, Queen's room, and the Fugger lounge. The fairy-tale tour is especially popular with our youngest guests and all people who love to embrace the magic of this castle.
